REDEFINING NARRATIVES THROUGH ORIGINALITY

Renato HK - OUR Story

With Latin origins, the word ‘Renato’ directly translates from ‘reborn’, signifying new beginnings.

Founded in May 2022 by two students from Hong Kong, Kyle Chan and Theodore Chiu, Renato’s name is especially significant, with a meaning that is twofold:

Firstly, coming from various backgrounds and possessing different skill sets, Renato brings together a team of diverse students from different schools to fuel special fundraising projects that are not only meaningful but novel.  Through Renato, unique friendships are formed between driven individuals sharing a common vision. Renato’s inaugural project - Project Sunrise - involved a team of 4 students from 3 different schools.

Secondly, the funds raised contribute towards helping others better their lives. Be it supporting children with special educational needs or helping pets in need of a happy home, Renato’s main objective is to provide not only potential for positive change but renewed hope for a beautiful future.

Renato HK - OUR Mission

What does this mean?

It means that we have the power to change how our lives are defined. By not letting conventional ideas of how challenged individuals are perceived, Renato HK hopes to project hope, optimism and faith in how each person defines their own story, as well as how their story is interpreted by others.

Kyle’s and Theodore’s goal in founding Renato HK is to inspire and motivate those who traditionally have not had access to resources due to socio-economic challenges. By instilling confidence and self-worth so that each unique personality shines through, Renato’s work is not only through raising funds to provide relevant resources, but also through volunteer work.

Meaning ‘reborn’ in Latin, Renato is an advocate for positive change.

“I’m incredibly excited about Project Sunrise - our debut project! With the sales of our art prints and digital collectibles, Project Sunrise can provide the resources to improve countless lives in addition to raising awareness for local charities.”

- Theodore Chiu
