Founded in May 2022 by Hong Kong students, Kyle Chan & Theodore Chiu, Renato HK is a student-run organization that supports local charities through fundraising projects as well as volunteer work. With the funds raised from our projects, Renato contributes towards providing resources to support charitable endeavors in Hong Kong, bettering the lives of countless individuals.

Meaning ‘reborn’ in Latin, Renato signifies new beginnings.

Project Sunrise - our debut project launched in September 2023 - involved the creation and sales of a unique collection of 99 art prints and digital collectibles, aptly named the ‘Sunrise Collection’. The project was launched in two parts, raising HKD334,200 in sales and additional donations, surpassing our goal of HKD240,000!

Created over a 4-month period by the Renato Project Sunrise team, the inspiration behind the artworks came from visits to and conversations with the four charities that Renato supports: Changing Young Lives Foundation (CYLF); Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital; Sheen Hok Charitable Foundation, including the Rising Sun SEN Project; and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA HK). Proceeds from the sales of the artworks directly benefitted these charities.

Project Walkathon - our 2nd project took place at the Hong Kong Science & Technology Park in the New Territories, on the morning of February 24, 2024. The main objective of this project was to involve our community in an activity, in order to raise awareness for the charities that Renato supports.

Our last project before our team graduates from high school and heads off to college is tentatively scheduled for July/August 2024. Stay tuned for more details!
